Software development engineer in test

Job Title: SDET – Automation Testing Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and API Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks to ensure the quality and performance of our applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks and test suites for web and API-based applications. Create, manage, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Perform regression, integration, functional, and performance testing using automation tools. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members in an Agile/Scrum environment. Identify, record, and track bugs thoroughly through resolution. Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Ensure the automation coverage across the application modules and maintain test stability. Mandatory Skills: Programming: Strong hands-on experience in Java. Automation Tools: Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation. API Testing: Experience with REST API automation, preferably using TestNG or RestAssured. Framework Development: Ability to design and maintain robust automation frameworks. Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile Scrum practices. Good to Have: Experience with Karate framework for API testing. Exposure to tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, JIRA, etc. Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and test execution on platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. Understanding of performance and security testing fundamentals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of relevant experience in automation testing.
