Role Overview We are seeking a Software Development Consultant (Functional) with 4+ years of experience in software development or IT project management consulting, preferably in government and enterprise domains. The role is based in Agartala and will involve direct collaboration with stakeholders, translating business needs into functional solutions, and supporting the successful delivery of digital projects. Key Responsibilities Engage with government departments and enterprise clients to collect and analyze business requirements. Document workflows, create functional specifications, and translate processes into technical tasks. Coordinate with software developers, QA teams, and designers to ensure functional alignment. Conduct system walkthroughs, validate outputs, and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Assist in training, onboarding, and documentation for end-users and administrative teams. Act as the primary functional liaison between internal teams and client representatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline. Minimum 4 years of experience in software development or IT consulting roles. Demonstrated experience in government digital projects or enterprise software solutions. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Comfortable with tools such as MS Office, Google Workspace, and task-tracking platforms Preferred Skills Experience working on public-facing digital platforms or MIS systems. Ability to draft user stories, process diagrams, and functional documents. Familiarity with wireframing/prototyping tools like Figma or Balsamiq. Understanding of compliance and reporting needs in government systems. Proficiency in local/regional languages of Northeast India is an advantage. Show more Show less
