Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to work on

project development

and provide

L2/L3 support

for data engineering workflows. The role involves building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, leveraging Databricks, Hadoop ecosystem, and Azure Cloud services. Experience with

life sciences or healthcare datasets and business

processes will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize data engineering solutions on Databricks or Hadoop ecosystem.
Build and orchestrate scalable data pipelines leveraging Azure Cloud services.
Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.
Implement CI/CD practices and workflow automation using Apache Airflow and Git.

Required Technical Skills

Databricks / Big Data: Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Scala Spark, and Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala).
Programming: Python or Scala, Unix Shell Scripting.
Cloud: Working knowledge of Azure services or AWS for data engineering workflows (preferred).
Tools: Apache Airflow, Git, CI/CD practices.

Add-on Skills (Preferred)

Domain Knowledge: Experience working with life sciences or healthcare datasets, understanding of clinical, commercial, Patient or R&D data workflows, and familiarity with business processes in healthcare.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR) and compliance requirements in healthcare.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing requirements.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Proactive approach to ownership and accountability in projects.

Preferred

Strong debugging and development skills.
Expertise in performance tuning and collaborative problem-solving.
