Software Asset Manager

As a Software Asset Manager at our company, you will play a crucial role in utilizing Flexera's toolkit to oversee and maximize software licenses. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining accurate inventories of software assets, creating and executing rules for software asset management, identifying optimization opportunities, managing vendor contracts, creating dashboards and reports, and staying updated on industry best practices and trends. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize Flexera's toolkit to oversee and maximize software licenses, ensuring adherence to vendor contracts and reducing waste - Establish and maintain accurate inventories of software assets in collaboration with procurement, IT, and finance teams - Create and execute rules for software asset management to ensure uniformity and standardize operations - Identify optimization and cost-saving opportunities through routine audits and assessments of software usage and licensing compliance - Act as a subject matter expert for Flexera solutions, advising internal stakeholders on software license management and optimization techniques - Manage vendor contacts, negotiate software licenses, and improve contract terms and conditions - Create dashboards and reports using Flexera's reporting tools to monitor KPIs, calculate savings, and demonstrate the ROI of software asset management programs - Stay updated on best practices, legal requirements, and industry trends in software asset management - Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and Flexera support teams, reporting and resolving technical difficulties or system problems - Participate in creating and implementing the company's IT asset management strategy, aligning SAM programs with overall business goals and priorities Qualifications Required: - Minimum of four years of experience in IT procurement or software asset management, with a focus on using Flexera products - Comprehensive knowledge of contract negotiations, software licensing methods, and compliance standards - Expertise in evaluating and interpreting license entitlements, compliance reports, and software usage data - Strong negotiating, stakeholder management, and communication skills - Ability to prioritize work, operate autonomously, and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Preferred certifications in Flexera and software asset management - Advantageous to have knowledge of other software asset management platforms like ServiceNow and Snow Software Please apply online with your resume if you meet the qualifications above, and the digitalxnode evaluation team will contact you if your profile is shortlisted.,
