Role: Social Media Marketing Intern – Events Team We’re looking for a digitally savvy, content-driven intern to join our team and amplify the buzz around our landmark events. If you live and breathe Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, and are excited by the idea of crafting real-time narratives and visual storytelling, you’ll fit right in. Note: Only Chennai-based candidates apply!!!! What You'll Do Plan and execute social media calendars for The Hindu’s event properties across platforms. Assist in creating engaging posts, stories, reels, and countdowns to build pre-event momentum. Collaborate with the content, design, and editorial teams to align posts with the event voice and tone. Live-cover events, capturing moments, quotes, and videos that resonate with digital audiences. Help grow our follower base through content strategies, contests, collaborations, and influencer outreach. Monitor analytics, prepare post-event reports, and share insights for improvement. What You Bring A degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, or related fields. Passion for content creation and a knack for what works online. Proficiency in Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Facebook. Bonus if you know basic Canva or video-editing tools. Excellent grammar and visual storytelling instincts. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple event timelines. Curiosity to learn, contribute and make an impact with every post.
