Social Media Executive

We are looking for a dynamic Social Media Expert to manage and grow the digital presence of our news channel i.e India Daily( LIVE) Sattelite across multiple platforms. The role requires strong understanding of news content, trending topics, audience engagement, and platform algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, create and publish daily content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter, WhatsApp, and other platforms.

Break news online quickly with accuracy and attractive headlines/thumbnails.

Coordinate with editorial/news room team for story updates, live coverage, and breaking news.

Prepare daily content calendar, reels, shorts, and story ideas.

Track current trends, hashtags, viral content and apply them to brand posts.

Manage live streaming, YouTube Studio & YouTube Shorts.

Engage with audience, respond to comments/messages and increase interaction.

Monitor analytics (reach, engagement, CTR, watch time) and generate weekly reports.

Grow followers, subscribers and overall online visibility.

Run paid promotions/ads when required.

Maintain brand tone, accuracy, ethics, and fact-checking for all posts.

Skills & Requirements:

2–3 years’ experience in social media management, preferably in news/media

Strong knowledge of trending formats: Reels, Shorts, Live Streams

Excellent storytelling, caption writing & visual sense

Proficiency with Canva, Premiere Pro/CapCut, image/video editing tools

Basic understanding of news ethics, fact-checking & SEO

Good communication skills in Hindi & English

Ability to work under pressure during breaking news and odd hours
