Job Description

Position: Senior Snowflake Engineer with SQL

Overview

Senior Snowflake Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop

    scalable data models, pipelines, and transformations

    using Snowflake and advanced SQL.
  • Build and optimize

    ELT workflows

    to support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with

    data analysts, architects, and business stakeholders

    to deliver high-quality, trusted datasets for reporting and analytics.

  • Optimize query performance

    and manage Snowflake compute/storage resources for cost efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain

    security, access controls, and data governance policies

    within the Snowflake environment.
  • Provide

    technical leadership

    on Snowflake best practices, architecture patterns, and platform design.
  • Participate in

    code reviews, peer collaboration, and knowledge sharing

    to uplift team capability.
  • Contribute to

    standards, documentation, and operational excellence

    within the data platform.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years

    of experience in

    data engineering or data platform development

    , with strong hands-on expertise in

    Snowflake

    .
  • Deep knowledge of

    Snowflake design and administration

    , including schema design, performance tuning, and role-based access control.

  • Advanced SQL

    skills for complex transformations, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience integrating

    Snowflake with upstream data sources and downstream BI/analytics tools

    .
  • Solid understanding of

    data modeling, governance, and data quality frameworks

    .
  • Experience working in

    compliance or regulated data environments

    (strong plus).
  • Proficiency with

    data integration/orchestration tools

    (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Informatica) and

    cloud platforms

    (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Excellent

    problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

    .

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

    in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
