We are seeking experienced Snowflake Data Engineers to support a Proof of Concept (POC) project, with the potential to scale into a broader production environment. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a modern data platform with real-time streaming capabilities using Snowflake’s native features.

You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions within Snowflake, with a particular focus on streaming ingestion, transformation, and automation. We're looking for self-starters who can take initiative, contribute ideas, and help seed a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or contribute to a POC for Snowflake-based data solutions, with an eye toward scaling to production

• Design and develop real-time data ingestion pipelines using Snowpipe / Streams & Tasks

• Handle and process streaming data within Snowflake, and potentially integrate with Kafka or similar platforms

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and UDFs for data transformation

• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to manage data ingestion and compute resources

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions

• Proactively identify improvements in data architecture, performance, and process automation

• Contribute to building and mentoring a scalable data engineering team

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering

• 4+ years of hands-on work with Snowflake – development, performance tuning, and architecture

• Strong proficiency in SQL – including analytical functions, CTEs, and complex logic

• Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks

• Familiarity with streaming platforms like Kafka, Pulsar, or Confluent (preferred)

• Experience with Python or Scala for scripting or data manipulation

• Comfortable working in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience with ETL/ELT development, orchestration, and monitoring tools

• Git or version control experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience delivering POC projects

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployment

• Understanding of data security, role-based access control, and governance in Snowflake

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
