Snowflake Data Architect

SkySys is seeking a highly experienced Snowflake Data Architect for a long-term engagement with a major global enterprise. This is a true architect role focused on strategy, data modeling, and large-scale Snowflake architecture—not a data engineering position.

Key Details

• Contract Duration: 1 year+ (long-term extension likely)
• Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and optimize enterprise-level data models
• Build and enhance Snowflake environments, governance, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across cloud, networking, and analytics
• Oversee ETL/ELT strategies and data integration pipelines
• Ensure secure data transfer and compliance
• Support CI/CD and version control processes
• Produce documentation and provide technical leadership

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture & data modeling
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Expertise with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration tools
• Solid understanding of networking & secure data movement
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Preferred: Snowflake SnowPro certification or cloud platform certifications
