Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Kubernetes Administrator and Developer to manage our containerized environments and support cloud-native application development. This hybrid role involves both operational administration of Kubernetes and Docker platforms and development responsibilities for containerized applications and microservices.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Container & Orchestration Administration:

Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers in production and development environments (on-premises or in the cloud)

Monitor and optimise cluster performance, scaling, and resource usage.

Set up and manage Kubernetes components like deployments, services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, persistent volumes, and ingress controllers.

Implement security best practices for containers and orchestration tools (RBAC, Pod Security Policies, etc.).
-
Manage and deploy Helm charts and custom resources.
-
Automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and scaling using CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana or Fluentd
Development Responsibilities:

Build, test, and deploy containerized applications using Docker.
-
Develop microservices and APIs that run on Kubernetes.
-
Write and maintain Dockerfiles and Kubernetes YAML manifests.

Create and maintain scripts for automation and monitoring using Bash, Python, or Go.

Work closely with DevOps and software engineering teams to integrate solutions into the CI/CD pipeline.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in staging/production environments.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
-
B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
-
3+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
-
Solid understanding of container lifecycle, orchestration, and container networking.
-
Experience in setting up Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers in older versions, which are unavailable in the online repository.

Experience with cloud-native development and Kubernetes services on AWS (EKS), Azure (AKS), or GCP (GKE).

Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Flux).

Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python, or Go).
Preferred Qualifications:

Kubernetes certifications: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).
