Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Kubernetes Administrator and Developer to manage our containerized environments and support cloud-native application development. This hybrid role involves both operational administration of Kubernetes and Docker platforms and development responsibilities for containerized applications and microservices.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Container & Orchestration Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers in production and development environments (on-premises or in the cloud)
  • Monitor and optimise cluster performance, scaling, and resource usage.
  • Set up and manage Kubernetes components like deployments, services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, persistent volumes, and ingress controllers.
  • Implement security best practices for containers and orchestration tools (RBAC, Pod Security Policies, etc.).
  • Manage and deploy Helm charts and custom resources.
  • Automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and scaling using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana or Fluentd
Development Responsibilities:
  • Build, test, and deploy containerized applications using Docker.
  • Develop microservices and APIs that run on Kubernetes.
  • Write and maintain Dockerfiles and Kubernetes YAML manifests.
  • Create and maintain scripts for automation and monitoring using Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Work closely with DevOps and software engineering teams to integrate solutions into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in staging/production environments.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
  • B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of container lifecycle, orchestration, and container networking.
  • Experience in setting up Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers in older versions, which are unavailable in the online repository.
  • Experience with cloud-native development and Kubernetes services on AWS (EKS), Azure (AKS), or GCP (GKE).
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python, or Go).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Kubernetes certifications: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).
