General description of role: Develop and execute the segment strategy and business proposition for clients in the SME segment (defined as clients with < 500 employees) and make it a scalable and profitable business proposition. The incumbent will also be given additional responsibilities as part of the role beyond SME Job responsibilities: SME Segment responsibilities - Support the HS business leader in execution of the key responsibility areas below. Develop an SME strategy for the organization and be responsible for executing the same through an auditable process. Set up and maintain an SPS (Structured Portfolio Solution) for SME clients in Group Medical, Group PA and Group Life products (and others as viable) Work with the SME teams at all locations to execute the strategy and provide inputs towards measurement of KPIs for this segment Responsible for onboarding clients exploring new business set-up in India, provide advice on benefit design and handle all MA consulting assignments for SME carveouts. Provide training to SME client managers specific to their role and develop their capabilities Responsible for all areas of people management including maximizing team productivity Generate cross-sell revenue opportunity including leads for other lines of business from the SME segment Other responsibilities Support the practice leader as needed on specific areas as advised which will form part of core role responsibilities and extend beyond the SME segment Examples of such areas could include (1) Responsibility for Inbound GBM client network support, (2) Market growth responsibilities for specific industry sectors, (3) Execution of key business projects etc Skills/competencies required: Must have experience in client relationship management and strong people management skills Must have SME sectoral experience or / part of a team that has managed SME as a distinct segment Must have a grasp on data analytics and proficient with Microsoft excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Strong communication, presentation, consultative selling, advising, and negotiation skills. Worked with a matrix structured organization; is a team player and is collaborative. Ability to manage and excel in ambiguous situations. Required education and certifications critical for the role- MBA / MCA / Post Graduate diploma in business with addition 10-15+ years experience in the insurance field in client facing areas, Experience of having worked in the SME segment specifically with Insurtech firms with a demonstrated capability of having scaled up businesses will be critical Required years of experience -10-15 years exp Location -Bengaluru, Gurugram, Mumbai How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we are proud to be an equal opportunity workforce.
