Position: Site Supervisor (Biogas Projects)

Location: Project Site (Field-Based)

1. Job Summary

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction, installation, commissioning, and operational activities of biogas plants. This includes supervision of civil, mechanical, and electrical works, coordination with contractors, ensuring safety compliance, quality control, and timely completion of project milestones.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Site Management & Supervision

• Supervise all on-site activities related to construction and installation of biogas plant components (digester, pipelines, slurry systems, gas handling units, engines, etc.).
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project timelines.
• Monitor labour, contractors, and technicians for daily task completion.
• Verify measurements, levels, alignments, materials, and workmanship.

B. Technical Responsibilities

• Assist in layout marking, excavation, civil construction, reinforcement, shuttering, and concrete work.
• Oversee installation of digesters, gas pipelines, valves, blowers, gas meters, pumps, mixing tanks, slurry pits, and safety accessories.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical installations including motors, panels, sensors, mixers, and gas burners.
• Support testing, commissioning, and performance trials of the plant.

C. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety standards related to biogas hazards (H₂S, CH₄, fire/explosion risk).
• Ensure proper use of PPE, barricading, and site housekeeping.
• Maintain compliance with environmental norms and local regulatory requirements.

D. Quality Assurance

• Inspect incoming materials and ensure they meet project specifications.
• Report quality issues and ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain site records, measurements, checklists, and progress reports.

E. Coordination & Communication

• Act as the key point of contact between engineers, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
• Coordinate with vendors for material delivery and equipment installation.

F. Documentation

• Maintain site registers, labour attendance, consumption logs, and stock records.
• Prepare measurement sheets for contractor billing.
• Record commissioning data and test results.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹10,599.68 - ₹22,000.00 per month
