Job Description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team and contribute to the high availability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud computing, container orchestration, and monitoring to build and maintain reliable systems that support our applications.

Responsibilities:

Assist in designing, building, and maintaining highly available and scalable infrastructure for our applications.
3 to 5 years experience.
Support the implementation and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK.
Help automate deployments and configuration management for cloud and on-premises environments, as well as container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, EKS, ECS).
Contribute to the integration of CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration changes.
Participate in the setup and maintenance of monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog) to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements and best practices.
Assist in incident response procedures for infrastructure and application issues as needed.
Contribute to continuous improvements in infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability.
Stay up to date with trends and advancements in cloud computing, containerization, and monitoring.

Requirements

Key Attributes and Qualifications:

Foundational understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts, with hands-on experience from projects.
Solid understanding of cloud computing principles (AWS preferred).
Experience with AWS CDK is required; familiarity with Terraform and Ansible is a plus.
Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (such as Kubernetes, EKS, ECS).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools, with any hands-on experience being a plus.
Basic scripting skills (Bash or Python) and a willingness to develop these skills further.
Awareness of monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) and a willingness to learn more about them.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
