As a Site Merchandiser, Category your primary function will be to help optimize end-to-end category-specific e-commerce experiences through core digital merchandising tactics, monitor key performance metrics, support strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the digital shopping experience and drive category performance through timely category refreshes using data-driven insights. You will work closely with the category team and help to identify opportunities to optimize product assortment presentation and site experience to maximize guest engagement and sales.
Core Responsibilities:
- Category Refresh Execution: Support comprehensive eCommerce category refreshes by executing assortment and site optimization strategy.
- Consumer Insights: Ability to understand consumer funnel analysis, apply guest demographics data, and analyze behavioral trends to improve site experience. Use customer journey mapping to identify optimization opportunities and recommend A/B testing strategies to validate improvements.
- Know The Guest: Provide actionable insights by analyzing consumer behavior, site metrics, and demographic trends to enhance user experience.
- Site Experience Management: Identify opportunities to optimize site merchandising strategies focusing on conversion, findability, maximizing guest engagement, and frictionless shopping.
- Operational Excellence: Streamline document processes, manage project timelines, and resolve operational challenges to improve task execution and efficiency.
- Analytics: Dig into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all devices and platforms, guest behavior, market trends, and competitive insights to uncover opportunities and drive action across key pain areas in the digital guest journey.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, communicate insights clearly to ensure timely execution of action items as aligned during cross-functional meetings (Key stakeholders: Category Site Merchandising, Digital Product Content, Item, Taxonomy, Digital Product).
About you:
- Bachelors degree mandatory (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of e-commerce or Customer insights experience (Site Merchandising, Digital Marketing, UX, etc.)
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple tools and systems.
- Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to summarize findings share timely updates with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Capability to identify opportunities for improvement based on data analysis and flag the same to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Establish strong relationships across both functional and category peer groups. Develop understanding of digital AOEs to help influence site merchandising strategy across the funnel.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting, with a focus on identifying actionable insights.
- Accountability: Have a high level of accountability initiative towards both day-to-day outcomes as well as business goals.
- Data Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like DOMO, Adobe Analytics, and basic SQL queries (not mandatory).
- Site Optimization: Monitor key site metrics (e.g., traffic, bounce rates), troubleshoot performance issues, and recommend strategies to optimize search, browse, SEO, product recommendation, etc.
- Research and Market Analysis: Support analysis of category and product performance using site analytics tools. Ability to understand market research reports, conduct competitor analysis to draw consumer behavior insights to inform category strategies.
