Site Engineer (Civil)

Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Site Engineer / Quantity Surveyor to handle material quantity verification and quality surveying on residential and commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate measurement of materials used, verifying contractor bills, and ensuring adherence to quality standards at every stage of construction. Key Responsibilities: Conduct material quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements. Monitor and verify quantities of materials received, used, and remaining at the site. Prepare and verify contractor bills and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) as per work executed. Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality aligns with project specifications and standards. Assist in cost estimation and budgeting based on actual quantities and rates. Maintain proper documentation of material delivery, usage, and wastage records. Liaise with procurement and site execution teams for timely material supply and quality checks. Ensure compliance with IS codes and quality norms during construction. Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly quantity and quality status reports. Identify discrepancies in materials or workmanship and escalate issues to the Project Manager. Requirements: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field. 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, site engineering, or material management in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and material reconciliation. Familiarity with quality control standards, construction materials, and specifications. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity estimation software, etc. Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
