Description
As a Shift Incharge (Executive Operations) at our operational facilities in Kanjurmarg and Taloja, Navi Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage daily shift activities efficiently. You will play a crucial role in supervising manpower, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards, maintaining machinery, and facilitating smooth material movement. Additionally, you will be required to prepare MIS reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shift performance. Your key responsibilities will include managing shift operations by supervising day-to-day activities, aligning them with production targets and quality benchmarks, efficiently allocating tasks based on manpower skillsets, and effectively resolving operational challenges in real-time. You will also be responsible for handling manpower by supervising, training, and motivating shift team members, managing attendance, breaks, and shift rosters, enforcing safety guidelines and operational protocols, and providing timely feedback and coaching to enhance team performance. Moreover, you will be tasked with ensuring productivity by setting and communicating shift-wise KPIs and productivity targets, monitoring team and individual output, identifying process inefficiencies, recommending improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing MIS reports by collecting and compiling shift data, presenting reports to management with analysis and improvement suggestions, tracking trends, and implementing data-driven operational changes. In terms of material handling, you will oversee the effective and safe movement and storage of materials within the facility, monitor inventory levels, report variances, reduce material wastage, and coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to maintain stock accuracy. You will also be responsible for machine management by ensuring machinery is operational, following preventive maintenance schedules, addressing breakdowns in collaboration with the maintenance team, maintaining logs, and minimizing equipment downtime. Furthermore, you will enforce safety and compliance by ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, conducting regular safety checks, briefings, and audits, maintaining a safe work environment, and addressing safety concerns promptly. Qualifications & Experience: Education: B.E. Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience: 2 to 6 years in shift operations, manufacturing, or industrial management. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure, excellent communication (verbal and written), proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and working knowledge of MIS/ERP systems, understanding of material handling, machine maintenance, and safety regulations. Working Conditions: Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including night shifts, work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variation, must be open to working in the waste management sector.
