Role Overview

The PVC Shift In-Charge will be responsible for supervising and managing the production activities during assigned shifts. This role ensures smooth operation of PVC pipe manufacturing processes, adherence to quality standards, workforce management, and compliance with safety protocols. The position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of extrusion processes, and the ability to coordinate between departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production activities in the PVC pipe extrusion and molding section.
• Ensure achievement of production targets with optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Monitor process parameters, machine performance, and product quality during the shift.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental guidelines on the shop floor.
• Prepare and submit daily shift reports including production output, wastage, and incidents.
• Train, guide, and motivate operators and helpers to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Ensure proper documentation of production logs, quality checks, and shift handovers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes and workforce management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Polymer Engineering (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in PVC pipe manufacturing or plastic extrusion industry.
• Strong knowledge of extrusion machines, die-heads, cooling tanks, haul-offs, and cutters.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, quality control procedures, and safety practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts and handle workforce discipline effectively.
