Shift Engineer

Role Overview: As a Shift Engineer, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of equipment and systems during your assigned shift. You will be performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as necessary. Collaborating with other teams, adhering to safety regulations, and supervising maintenance staff may also be part of your duties. Key Responsibilities: - Maintenance and Repair: Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and other facility equipment. - Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or operational problems to minimize downtime. - Operations Oversight: Monitor and ensure the efficient functioning of equipment and systems, such as HVAC, generators, or production lines. - Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, and provide reports to supervisors. - Inventory Management: Manage and maintain engineering stores, including tracking parts and initiating requisitions for replenishment. - Team Supervision: Lead and manage maintenance staff during the shift, ensuring their work meets standards and safety protocols. Qualifications Required: - Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field. - Proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems. - Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations. - Excellent communication and leadership skills.
