What we are looking for Role: Shell Scripting Experience Range: 4 - 8 Years Location: Bangalore Must Have: Shell Scripting(must) AND Exposure to Unix troubleshooting AND SQL Database. AND Production Support One of the following RDBMS environments: Sybase ASE/IQ, Oracle or DB2 Good communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem to help drive solutions. Problem solving in a production environment, including experience observing patterns, analyzing root cause and suggesting ideas to resolve issues Good to Have: Knowledge in GS specific skills – AutoSys, AppHero, Slang and KeepAlive Experience in the Financial Service Industry Essential: Monitor and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal business impact and timely resolution. Perform deep-dive analysis and root cause identification for complex technical issues in UNIX, SQL, and ETL environments. Collaborate with L2 support, development, and infrastructure teams for issue escalation and resolution. Manage daily health checks, batch monitoring, and critical job failures using monitoring tools (e.g., Autosys, App Hero). Analyze recurring incidents and implement permanent corrective actions to improve system stability. Develop and optimize UNIX shell scripts and SQL queries for incident resolution and process automation. Participate in incident review meetings, providing detailed incident analysis and RCA documentation.
