SharePoint Consultant

Responsibilities

• Conduct a full

  discovery and planning assessment

  of client's legacy file storage and data structure.
• Identify, categorize, and prepare eligible case files for migration (pending or closed after Jan 1, 2023).
• Design and configure

  SharePoint Online architecture

  , metadata schema, and permissions aligned with client's office and practice group structure.
• Implement

  LegalServerSharePoint integration

  , enabling automated document access and metadata synchronization.
• Execute

  data migration

  using third-party tools (e.g., ShareGate, Mover, or AvePoint).
• Lead

  User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  and perform up to two refinement iterations.
• Develop clear, user-friendly

  training materials and system documentation

  for end users and administrators.
• Conduct

  virtual training sessions

  and provide post-go-live technical support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system reliability, compliance, and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years

  of experience designing, configuring, and migrating

  SharePoint Online

  environments.
• Hands-on expertise with

  document migration utilities

  such as ShareGate, Mover, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of

  Microsoft 365, Teams, and OneDrive administration

  .
• Proven experience integrating

  SharePoint with external systems

  (preferably LegalServer or similar case/document management systems).
• Proficiency in

  metadata management, taxonomy design, and permission configuration

  .
• Experience conducting

  user training

  and creating technical documentation.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting

  nonprofit or legal aid organizations

  .
• Familiarity with

  LegalServer APIs

  or data exchange mechanisms.
• Understanding of

  information governance, compliance, and security best practices

  .
• Microsoft certifications in SharePoint or Microsoft 365 administration.
