Job Description

In this role, you will be supporting the efforts within application development, maintenance, and support. You will be responsible for building solutions that comply with company software quality assurance/quality control and software engineering standards. Developing professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard information systems methodology, techniques, procedures, and criteria will be a key aspect of your role. You will also be interacting and working with globally distributed teams and customers, understanding and analyzing client requirements, and proposing technical solutions for the requirements. Your responsibilities will include: - Coding and debugging software applications in accordance with Bechtel's Software Development Methodology Framework, Enterprise and Application architecture, and the Software Development Standards - Analyzing, maintaining, and implementing existing software applications and developing programming specifications from business requirements - Creating and maintaining architecture documents, design specifications, and test plans for the applications - Promoting automation, standardization, best practices, and code reuse for the application development - Mentoring junior team members and working with them to resolve technical issues - Conducting code and artifacts reviews - Protecting operations by keeping information confidential Basic skills and qualifications required for this role: - Masters/Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (MCA/BCA/BE) - Experience in working on Service Now implementation is desirable - Experience with data formats like JSON and XML - Good knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS - Strong Object-Oriented concepts - Deep understanding and practical experience in implementing best practices for technical design and development - Good written and verbal communication skills - Agility, quick learner, and understanding of the Software development lifecycle - Good analytical and problem-solving skills - Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities - Knowledge of administration of a Service Now instance including various technical aspects Desired skills for this role include experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, architectural patterns, design patterns, frameworks (e.g., MVC), and writing complex stored procedures, triggers, and queries using SQL Server and Oracle.
