ServiceNow Architect

Overall Purpose of the Role: The ServiceNow Architect plays a pivotal role in leading the delivery of ServiceNow implementation projects and driving strategic transformational changes in solution deployment. This role is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and integrity of the ServiceNow application. Strong knowledge of ServiceNow implementation is essential. The architect will participate in process flow analysis and design, collaborate with the Project Manager/SDM, share best practices, and provide consultative support throughout the technical design of the project. Additionally, the architect will produce detailed functional design documents to meet customer requirements and participate in internal projects as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of ServiceNow implementation projects and BAU: Take charge of the overall architecture, design, and implementation of the ServiceNow application, ensuring its integrity and alignment with business goals.
  • Drive strategic transformational changes: Spearhead initiatives to enhance solution deployment and improve stakeholder engagement through innovative use of ServiceNow
  • Mentor and guide team members: Provide mentorship to junior resources in implementation methodology, configuration, and best practices for ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with the Project Managers/SDM/vendors and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Share best practices: Act as a consultative resource, sharing best practices and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interact with managers, directors, and senior management: Engage with various levels of management on a daily basis to ensure alignment, address concerns, and provide updates on project progress.
  • Implement ServiceNow ITSM, HR, and Finance modules, including hands-on development of application configuration, workflow configuration, and user interface (UI) configuration (Service Portal).
  • Provide technical solutions and assist the team with technical blockers.
  • Analyze functional requirement specifications received from Service Owners and propose technical feasibility and solutions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of ServiceNow through self-study and available training.
  • Manage new juniors and ramp them up by providing mentorship, guidance, and training to ensure their successful integration into the team.
  • Ensure the overall performance, security, and storage of the platform by continuously monitoring and optimizing these aspects to maintain a high level of service.
  • Consult on Business as Usual (BAU) activities and align with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of related experience.
  • Technical Competencies: Experience with ServiceNow handling end-to-end implementation of various modules, knowledge of web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services), and working in a SaaS environment. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and presenting to senior management using data from these tools. Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, and enterprise application architecture 1. ITIL certification is preferred.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Strong relationship management skills, ability to multitask and work well in high-stress environments, both within teams and independently. Demonstrates good judgment and a pragmatic approach to delivering solutions that optimize architecture activities across company needs, business constraints, and technological realities. Excellent communication skills, active listening, and respect for others' points of view. Customer-centric attitude and ability to deal with cultural diversity.
