Job Description

As a Service Manager in Basrah, Iraq, your role will involve setting long- and short-term objectives for the Service Department, cascading them at the branch level, and effectively communicating them to your team. Supervising the activities of subordinates to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures will be a key responsibility. You will be tasked with selecting, training, motivating, evaluating, and developing branch service personnel to achieve SAS objectives. It will be essential for you to stay updated on developments and new technologies in the automotive industry, adopting best international practices in the workplace. Managing service operations, including customer handling, vehicle maintenance schedules, and approving maintenance requirements based on detailed reports will be part of your daily routine. You will need to ensure that the service team maintains regular communication with customers to provide updates on progress or delays. Documentation and reporting play a crucial role in your responsibilities, requiring you to ensure all service-related information is well-documented and filed, relevant reports are issued on time, and any deviations are reported with corrective actions taken. Additionally, you will be expected to inspect and road test vehicles regularly to uphold high-quality standards. Collaboration with other departments such as Sales and Marketing, Training, Spare Parts, and CRM will be necessary to ensure smooth workflow and cooperation. Handling customer feedback, conducting satisfaction surveys, and following up on warranty issues and insurance claims will also be part of your duties. Maintaining the workshop and body shop within the branch, monitoring cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with SAS's procedures for professional and efficient service levels will be crucial. Your role will involve preparing periodic reports on vehicle performance and customer feedback while ensuring accuracy in customer invoices and resolving complaints efficiently. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, specifically with Toyota, is required. Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of experience as a Service Manager and be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Your leadership skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and commitment to maintaining high safety and security standards within the branch will be vital for success in this position. Adhering to SARDAR's Policies and Procedures and fulfilling any assigned tasks from your direct supervisor will also be part of your role as a Service Manager in Basrah, Iraq.,
