Service Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Engineer with experience in the installation of glass units and a solid understanding of the glass industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of glass systems and equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction through technical support and service excellence. Key Responsibilities: Install and commission glass units and related systems at customer sites. Provide technical support for product issues, ensuring prompt resolution. Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on glass machinery or installations. Liaise with clients to understand installation requirements and site conditions. Conduct training for customers on proper usage and maintenance of glass systems. Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Prepare service reports and documentation post-installation. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all site work. Support the sales and project team with technical insights when required. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical 2+ years of experience in installation and service of glass units or within the glass industry. Strong knowledge of glass handling equipment, curtain wall systems, or insulated glass units (IGUs). Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Hands-on experience with tools and machinery used in glass installation. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
