Senior Virtualization Compute Engineer | 8+ years

This role is focused on engineering, deployment, administration, and protection of enterprise virtualization server hosting environments. The position involves working with VMware, Red Hat, Kubernetes, and automation technologies to support large-scale global infrastructure needs across multiple business applications.

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Applications
• Certifications Preferred:
• VMware DCV
• Red Hat OSV / CSA
• CKA – Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Skills Required

• VMware ESX Servers, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker
• Automation & CI/CD: Tekton, Git/GitHub, Argo CD, Ansible, Yaml, PowerShell
• Infrastructure & Systems: Windows, Linux, Red Hat, SQL Server, WebSphere, Storage & Network management
• Programming & Scripting: Python, PowerCLI, API integration

Experience

• 10+ years in IT development, operations, support, or migrations
• 5+ years with OpenShift Virtualization, Kubernetes, and automation
• 3+ years with Tekton pipelines, Argo CD, Ansible playbooks, Docker, VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
• Strong experience in global enterprise environments with VMware/Red Hat infrastructures
• Background in SQL Server, Windows OS, Linux OS, WebSphere, and storage/network components

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, install, and administer VMware & Red Hat virtualization platforms
• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure: security patching, upgrades, migrations, maintenance, and decommissioning
• Provide L1–L3 operational support for global virtualization environments
• Develop automation for day-to-day operations using scripting and configuration tools
• Lead or participate in infrastructure and operations projects (e.g., server upgrades, capacity planning, automation, DR planning)
• Conduct performance reviews, outage analysis, and documentation
• Participate in on-call support rotation
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams for deployments and troubleshooting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,900.72 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
