Senior Urban Planner

Roles and Responsibilities

 Provide strategic direction and leadership for urban planning projects, including GIS-

based master plans, waterfront developments, housing initiatives, urban design

projects, transportation planning, and impact studies.

 Oversee project lifecycle management, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence,

and alignment with project objectives.

 Develop and implement urban planning policies, guidelines, and frameworks to drive

innovative and sustainable development practices.

 Lead and manage complex, large-scale urban planning initiatives from inception to

completion, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations and standards.

 Coordinate with senior stakeholders, government authorities, and private sector

partners to align project goals with community and regional needs.

 Identify opportunities for innovation in project delivery and resource management.

 Facilitate high-level engagement with community leaders, government officials,

industry experts, and the public to gather insights, address concerns, and build

consensus for planning proposals.

 Organize and lead public meetings, workshops, and consultations, ensuring clear

communication of project objectives and benefits.

 Oversee the preparation and review of GIS-based spatial analyses, detailed project

reports (DPRs), and impact studies.

 Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and technologies into the

planning process.

 Ensure the delivery of high-quality visual presentations, maps, models, and

comprehensive planning documents.

 Mentor and guide junior and mid-level planners, fostering a collaborative and

growth-oriented team environment.

 Provide expert advice and training to enhance technical and professional skills within

the team.

 Ensure all planning projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and

policies.

 Conduct thorough reviews of planning proposals to identify and mitigate risks

related to environmental, economic, and social impacts.

Qualification

Master’s degree in Urban Planning or urban design with under graduation of Bachelor in architecture.
