Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design review of 750 V DC traction power (TPSS/RSS, rectifiers, DC switchgear, return circuits, earthing & bonding, third rail/OHE), including load flow, short-circuit, protection, and stray current studies.
  • Supervise construction, installation, and quality assurance of traction power works; review method statements, ITPs, FAT/SAT, and oversee energization, T&C, and handover.
  • Manage contractor submissions, technical queries, deviations/changes, and ensure contractual compliance on scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Coordinate interfaces with SCADA, MIMIC/HMI, signalling, telecom, rolling stock, civil/track, and depot systems to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Assist Chief Traction Distribution, SCADA, and MIMIC Panel Integration Expert in control philosophy reviews, point lists, RTU/PLC integration, alarms/events, and screen validation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (IEC/EN/IEEE/IS), client specs, electrical safety (LOTO, permits), and statutory clearances.
  • Lead RAMS/CSM activities, hazard identification, and EMC/EMI compliance; implement measures for touch/step voltage and stray current mitigation.
  • Maintain documentation: review registers, NCRs/snags, as-builts, commissioning dossiers; prepare concise weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Support claims/variations, EoT assessments, and technical inputs for dispute resolution


Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 15 years of Professional Experience 5/3 years or more in metro rail projects.
  • English knowledge is required; Knowledge of local language (Hindi) will add more value.
