Job Description

As the Tooling Lead at Alstom, your main responsibility will be to oversee all Tooling Activities for the assigned Project. You will monitor and ensure that the Project Tooling KPIs are met in all SQCD. Additionally, you will be managing Inhouse Sub Con and Suppliers in Tooling Activities for the respective Project. It will be your duty to conduct FAT / SAT and address all the Improvements identified during Production, and then handover to the Site Representative. You will also be responsible for Tender Costing Submission for the Tooling NRC Efforts and costing, as well as optimizing the Cost for the Tooling on Design and Manufacturing. Moreover, you will be developing Tooling Standards and implementing them across Projects. During the Project Development phase, under the direction of the Tooling Manager & Project Industrialization Manager, your responsibilities will include: - Preparing TPS for all the Tooling and sharing it with Suppliers and getting the Technical / Commercial offers - Validating the Technical Offer, Estimating the Cost of Tooling and sharing the Budget to Sourcing - Ensuring Right Country Standards are met During the Design and Manufacturing - Developing New Concepts while designing various Tools (Welding Fixtures, Assembly Fixtures, Lifting tackles) - Implementing Automation (Hydraulic & Pneumatic) of Welding Fixtures & Assembly Fixtures - Conducting Design Reviews & DAP with all the Stakeholders and getting the Signoff for Inhouse and Supplier Designs - Detailing the design by making 2D Drawings in Catia V5 - Following up with the Supplier for the Manufacturing Progress and Monitoring the Progress - Monitoring the Quality of Tooling Manufactured wrt. to Welding / Machining and Painting - Conducting Fixture Inspection, Validation & Trial, and Addressing the Concerns raised During Trial with CAPA - Coordinating with Engineering & Process for getting necessary input/Alignment During the TPS Preparation DR and DAP - Travelling & working at various locations as required - Following up with Tooling Suppliers as per schedule - Taking actions for Cost Optimizing for the Tooling on Design and Manufacturing - Taking actions for Developing Standards and Tooling Library Desired Knowledge / Experience: - Experience in Tool Design in Railway industry or Heavy Industries - Experience on Line Automation - Good knowledge of technologies, IT Tools Catia V5 - Good Knowledge of GD&T - Fluent English Skills & Competencies: - Availability - Teamwork - Pedagogy and Good oral and written communication Mobility Requirements: - Frequent travels mainly in India If you are passionate about reinventing mobility and are ready to join a diverse and inclusive culture at Alstom, where you will have opportunities to learn, grow, and advance in your career, then this role is for you.
