Senior Test Automation Engineer

The Senior Test Automation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing robust automation test frameworks, creating and executing automated test scripts for various applications, collaborating with development teams to build testing strategies, and integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Additionally, you will participate in requirement analysis, conduct performance and load testing, identify and track defects, review test results, and mentor junior team members in automation best practices. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript is required, as well as experience with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG. You should also be familiar with API testing tools like Postman and SoapUI, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and CircleCI, and performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and quality assurance processes is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are key attributes for this role. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and certifications in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE) are considered a plus. Additionally, familiarity with security testing principles and practices will be beneficial for this position. In this role, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for test automation processes, engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and collaborate with other teams to ensure integrated testing practices.
