Job Description

As a Credit Control Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure adherence to various guidelines related to credit controls, marketing schemes spent effectiveness/deployment, debtors management, and Zonal expense monitoring and control. You will be tasked with setting credit limits as per the guidelines set by the National Credit Head and referring exceptions, along with facts, assessments, and recommendations to the National Credit Head. Your role will involve meeting High Risk/High-Value Dealers to facilitate review/audit and propose risk mitigation plans. You will be expected to comment on Business Development Review Committee (BDRC) plans received from Area Offices and influence them to take stretch targets. Collaboration with the Credit Team/DWCM team will be essential in achieving objectives such as process review, rollout of financial products, and resolution of issues with bankers. You will disseminate Management Information System (MIS) and coordinate with Zonal Heads/Area Managers to ensure that stretch targets are met. Additionally, you will need to proactively provide early warning signals regarding the financial position/business prospects of any Dealer. Ensuring robust statutory compliance covering various taxes and local statutes governing operations will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will require you to generate intelligence MIS/Reports based on market scans/competition and continuously evaluate Dealer Profitability and viability. Budgeting, monitoring actuals, providing counsel to Zonal Managers/Area Managers on commercial issues, and grooming and developing Area office Accountants will be crucial aspects of your job. You will also be responsible for carrying out/arranging audits of Area Offices/Stock Yards/Dealers to ensure account reconciliation. A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this position, along with a BCom/MCom qualification. Industry experience in a similar role is preferred.
