Senior Steward

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Senior Steward to support daily front-of-house operations at ZOCA Café. The Senior Steward will assist in supervising junior stewards, ensuring high-quality guest service, and maintaining hygiene and service standards in a fast-paced multi-cuisine environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests politely and professionally.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks as per service protocols and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Supervise junior stewards during daily operations and assist in training them.
• Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area, service stations, and pantry.
• Address guest queries, complaints, or special requests promptly and courteously.
• Coordinate with kitchen and cashier to ensure smooth order execution and billing.
• Monitor inventory levels of cutlery, crockery, and service items and report shortages.
• Follow hygiene, grooming, and safety standards as per company policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Steward in a restaurant, with at least 1 year in a senior role.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service (including multi-cuisine menus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a small team and manage workflow during peak hours.
• Well-groomed, disciplined, and customer-oriented.
• Basic understanding of POS and billing processes is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12th pass or Diploma in Hotel Management / F&B Service (preferred but not mandatory).
• Fluency in Hindi; basic English is an advantage.
• Experience in a multi-cuisine or casual dining restaurant is preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Rotational shifts (Lunch/Dinner)
• Must be available on weekends and public holidays
