Job Description

Job Overview:

As a Sr Specialist - Software Development, you will develop new product features/modules using best practices and provide maintenance to the existing systems. All our products are solutions for the airline, transport and travel industry using different technologies.

Responsibilities:

Translate processes and enhancement specifications into programs
Develop and refine error-free code within agreed timescales using development techniques, tools, methods and languages with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Evaluate changes and perform impact analysis
Work with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements
Investigate reported faults in operational code to determine changes and approaches to the code for promotion and replacement, conforming to established procedures.
Design and prepare unit testing plan strategies and write test scripts to validate all new software development and enhancements.
Take ownership of the test and implementation phases of projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
8+ years’ experience in software development
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
ASP.NET 4.0, C#, DOT NET Framework & MVC 3.0, Entity Framework, SQL, AWS Cloud, Node JS
Strong knowledge and practical experience with AWS services for backend development and deployment.
Experience in implementing and maintaining Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases) and data modeling.
Understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies and practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
XML, XSLT, REST API, LINQ
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for backend systems.
Understanding of security principles and best practices in backend development.
