Job Description

Responsibilities:

1.Test Planning & Execution:

Understand software requirements and create test cases based on functional specifications
Execute test cases (manual and automated) to validate software functionality and performance.
Identify, document, and track defects in a defect management tool.

2.Automation & Scripting:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools
Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured
Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments

3.Bug Tracking & Reporting:

Log defects with detailed steps to reproduce and collaborate with developers for resolution
Perform regression testing to ensure that fixes do not introduce new issues
Generate and share test reports with stakeholders

4.Continuous Improvement & Collaboration:

Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to improve software quality
Contribute to test strategy and process improvement initiatives
Stay updated with the latest testing tools and best practices

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
ISTQB Certification is a plus
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Good communication and documentation skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automation)
Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.)
Experience in automation testing with Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools
Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured
Basic understanding of SQL queries for database validation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
