We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Software Engineer proficient in Java and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our innovative team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and implement cutting-edge solutions in a collaborative hybrid work environment, driving impactful projects across industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful microservices and backend components using Java 17+ and Spring Boot
• Design and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) utilizing GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and BigQuery
• Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code accompanied by unit and integration tests
• Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and performance optimization
• Work with Agile/Scrum teams and actively contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives

Requirements

• 4–7 years of Java development experience, specializing in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
• Practical expertise with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Background in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferably GKE)
• Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and integrating with messaging systems like Pub/Sub or Kafka
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build
• Experience with databases like BigQuery, or Cloud SQL and understanding of SQL/NoSQL systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
• Capability to solve complex problems with a focus on clean and efficient code
• Flexibility to work autonomously and contribute in team settings
• Proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new technologies

Nice to have

• GCP Associate or Professional certification such as Cloud Developer or Cloud Architect
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
• Expertise with domain applications in industries like retail, finance, healthcare, or logistics
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana and observability best practices
