Role Overview: As an experienced Software Developer at LexisNexis Legal & Professional, you will be responsible for working on challenging research, design, and software development tasks within the product line. Your role will involve collaborating with technical personnel, writing detailed specifications, completing bug fixes, and translating complex product requirements into software designs. You will also be involved in implementing development processes, coding best practices, and resolving technical issues as necessary. Additionally, mentoring junior software engineers and staying updated on new technological developments will be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with team members to finalize requirements - Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components - Complete complex bug fixes - Translate complex product requirements into software designs - Implement development processes and coding best practices - Operate in various development environments while collaborating with stakeholders - Resolve complex technical issues - Mentor entry-level software engineers - Keep abreast of new technological developments - Design and work with complex data models - Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques - Perform other assigned duties Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in software development - Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) - Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices - Experience with databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or MySQL - Experience implementing projects on AWS Cloud - Knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial - Experience with XML and XSLT is preferred - Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Solr, Elasticsearch, Redis) is preferred - Experience with message queue technologies is preferred - Experience working in Source Code Management (GIT) - Experience developing software within the Scrum framework Additional Details: LexisNexis Legal & Professional, a part of RELX, is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers.
