Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at UnitedHealth Group, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing UI and micro-services, building product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders, and monitoring application health and performance as part of DevOps. Your innovative solutions will directly impact health outcomes, improving the overall health and reliability of applications. You will also define coding standards and best practices, build Cloud-ready applications, and support the QE/UAT team during testing via defect fixes, code deployment, and clarifications. Your understanding and implementation of security and data protection will be essential in ensuring the integrity of the applications. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement UI and micro-services - Build product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders - Monitor application health and performance as part of DevOps - Create innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business and improve application reliability - Define coding standards and best practices - Build Cloud-ready applications - Support the QE/UAT team during testing - Implement security and data protection measures Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of experience with Java - 4+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful services - 4+ years of Agile delivery experience - 4+ years of experience building microservices using Spring Boot - 4+ years of experience working on an agile team - 4+ years of experience developing/maintaining CI/CD pipelines - 4+ years of experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases - 4+ years of experience developing applications in React - Experience in Kafka or other event streaming technologies - Experience in Docker, Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace - Experience working in a DevOps model - Familiarity with performance management - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standards and best practices Join UnitedHealth Group to make an impact on global health optimization and advance the communities we serve.
