Senior ServiceNow Developer

The Senior ServiceNow Developer Integrations & IRM is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems while supporting and expanding the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) capabilities of the platform.

In this role, you'll bridge critical business systems, automate complex workflows,and strengthen our governance, risk, and compliance posture. The ideal candidate combines strong ServiceNow development skills with deep knowledge of IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and practical experience implementing IRM solutions such as Policy and Compliance, Risk Management, and Audit Management.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development & Architecture

• Design, build, and maintain robust integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems including SuccessFactors, Coupa, SailPoint, ActiveDirectory, and email gateways

• Leverage IntegrationHub (spoke development, flow design), REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and Scripted Web Services to enable secure, scalabledata exchange

• Develop and optimize bidirectional data flows supporting CMDB, HRSD,

IRM, and ITSM modules

• Implement authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, and certificate-based authentication Platform Development & Automation

• Configure and customize ServiceNow applications including business rules,

workflows, UI policies, and client scripts

• Build automation solutions using Flow Designer, UI Actions, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, and Transform Maps

• Develop reusable integration patterns and code libraries following

ServiceNow best practices

• Utilize Flow Designer, UI Actions, Script Includes, and Scheduled Jobs for

automation and orchestration.

• Ensure all development aligns with Common Service Data Model (CSDM)

standards

• Ensure development aligns with ServiceNow and CSDM best practices.

• Support and extend IRM modules such as Policy & Compliance, Risk

Management, and Audit Management.

IRM & GRC Solutions

• Implement and enhance IRM modules including Policy & Compliance

Management, Risk Management, and Audit Management

• Build executive dashboards and automated reports for risk visibility and

regulatory compliance tracking

• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Legal teams to translate

business requirements into technical solutions

• Support audit activities by maintaining evidence collection and reporting

capabilities

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to strengthen GRC

capabilities.

• Partner with the ServiceNow Architect, Program Manager, and offshore

AMS team on solution design and delivery

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives

• Troubleshoot integration, production issues, perform code reviews, and ensure smooth upgrade readiness.

• Support upgrade planning and testing to ensure compatibility with new ServiceNow releases

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with

demonstrated expertise in integrations and data exchange patterns

• Deep technical knowledge of:

• IntegrationHub (spoke creation, custom actions, connection aliases)

• REST/SOAP web services (endpoints, authentication, error handling)

• MID Server architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, API keys, mutual

TLS)

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow Glide APIs

(GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideDateTime, etc.)

• Experience working with JSON, XML, and data transformation techniques

• Solid understanding of CMDB, ITSM, and HRSD data models and

relationships

• Experience with ServiceNow IRM (GRC) or related governance and risk

modules preferred.

• Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide APIs).

• Experience working in a large, global enterprise or manufacturing

environment is a plus.

Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Required

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more

areas:

• IntegrationHub (Preferred)

• IRM/GRC (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification (Preferred)
