Sr. ServiceNow Developer

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design:

    Define ServiceNow architecture aligned with business strategies. Design scalable, reusable components across modules like ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom apps.
  • Development:

    Develop custom applications, integrations, and modules using

    JavaScript (Strong hands-on required)

    , Glide APIs, and Flow Designer.
  • Customization:

    Customize forms, workflows, UI policies, client scripts, and business rules.
  • Integrations:

    Build REST/SOAP integrations with third-party platforms and internal systems (e.g., Jira, AD, AWS, Azure) using Integration Hub and MID Server.
  • Automation:

    Leverage ServiceNow App Engine, Integration Hub, and Flow Designer for automation and low-code development.
  • Leadership & Quality:

    Lead platform upgrades, performance tuning, and security hardening. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Mentorship:

    Guide junior developers and ensure knowledge transfer across the team.
  • Troubleshooting:

    Collaborate with support teams to resolve platform issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience:

    4+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and design.
  • Module Expertise:

    Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps.
  • Scripting:

    Extensive hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting (Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, etc.).
  • Technical Tools:

    Hands-on with ACLs, Service Portal, Custom Widgets, Scoped Applications, and Version Control (Git).
  • CMDB & ITOM:

    Knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management.
  • Methodologies:

    Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery models and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Certifications:

    • Mandatory:

      ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
    • Preferred:

      CAD, CIS-ITSM/CSM/HRSD.
  • Advanced Tech:

    Exposure to Generative AI capabilities, Performance Analytics, and Service Portal UI/UX customization.
  • Additional Skills:

    Experience with ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, or AIOps. ITIL v3/v4 certification is a plus.
