Senior Scrum Master

Role Overview:

The Scrum Master (Scrumban) will guide cross-functional teams using Agile, Scrumban, and Kanban principles to ensure predictable and value driven delivery. The role focuses on flow efficiency, continuous improvement, team coaching, and collaboration across engineering, product, design, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Agile ceremonies using Scrumban practices (daily standups, replenishment meetings, retrospectives, flow reviews).
• Manage and optimize WIP limits, workflow policies, and team throughput.
• Facilitate sprint-style planning where needed while promoting continuous flow.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve cycle time using flow metrics (CFD, lead time, throughput).
• Coach development teams and product owners on Scrumban, Kanban, and flow-based delivery.
• Promote team autonomy, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure prioritization, backlog readiness, and value alignment.
• Communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies using transparent flow dashboards.
• Analyze team workflows and implement improvements tailored to team maturity.
• Support scaling efforts including Scrum of Scrums and cross-team Kanban workflows.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
• Strong experience with Scrumban, Kanban, and Scrum frameworks.
• Proficiency with flow metrics: lead time, cycle time, throughput, WIP limits, CFDs.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and similar Agile tools.
• Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to coach teams across various maturity levels.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: CSM, PSM I/II, KMP I/II, SAFe, or equivalent.
• Experience working in distributed/global teams.
• Exposure to Lean practices and value-stream mapping.
• Engineering or product background is a plus.
