Senior Safety Officer Project Sites (15+ Years Experience) Location: Bokaro, Jharkhand Department: Safety – Infrastructure Projects Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Openings: 1 About the Company: Northstar Safety Systemz Pvt. We are hiring a senior safety officer for a critical infrastructure project site to lead our field safety team and ensure end-to-end compliance with national and organizational standards. Role Summary: The Senior Safety Officer will be responsible for guiding project safety strategy, monitoring site activities, supervising safety staff, and ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance across various high-risk project tasks. Key Responsibilities: Review and align project-specific HSE plans with corporate safety management systems. Guide the field team in implementing Permit to Work systems across Excavation, Work at Height, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, and Scaffolding. Lead daily inspections and safety audits across designated site zones. Conduct incident investigations (accidents, HiPo near-misses, unsafe acts/conditions) and implement corrective/preventive measures. Supervise and mentor junior safety officers on best safety practices and protocols. Facilitate safety-related training sessions, mock drills, and awareness campaigns. Issue Yellow or Red Safety Notices based on severity of safety violations. Promote safety engagement through campaigns like BBS, spot awards, quizzes, and other participative programs. Maintain and submit detailed safety MIS reports (daily/monthly). Support documentation including JSA, HIRA, SWP, SMP, DEC, SOP, etc. Eligibility Criteria: Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical + Diploma in Industrial Safety (Recognized Institute) Experience: Minimum 15 years in industrial or infrastructure project safety roles Key Skills: Leadership, PTW enforcement, statutory compliance, site audit, BBS promotion, SOP documentation Additional Conditions: Candidates must arrange their own local transport, food, lodging, and stationery. Personal laptop is mandatory. Must be comfortable with rotational shifts, including night shifts when required. Approved PPE (Green FRP helmet, reflective jacket) must be procured by the candidate as per specified brand guidelines.
