Role & responsibilities Operate and maintain galvanizing equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Prepare metal surfaces for galvanization by cleaning and removing contaminants, ensuring proper adhesion of zinc coatings. Monitor the galvanization process, adjusting parameters as needed to achieve desired coating thickness and quality. Conduct quality inspections and tests on galvanized products, documenting results and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. Train and mentor junior staff on galvanizing techniques and safety protocols. Preferred candidate profile Required: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in metallurgy or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in galvanizing or metal finishing processes. Strong understanding of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to galvanization. Proficient in operating and maintaining galvanizing equipment and tools. Preferred: Experience with advanced galvanization techniques, such as hot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies Expertise in metal surface preparation, including cleaning and etching techniques. Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and methodologies to assess coating quality. Knowledge of galvanizing chemistry and implications for metal properties.

Coordinate fire safety systems, first aid arrangements, and disaster management drills. Ensure availability and readiness of PPE, firefighting equipment, and safety devices. Leadership & Coordination Supervise junior safety officers and safety stewards. Coordinate with production, maintenance, and admin teams for proactive safety measures. Support HSE Head in audits (internal, client, statutory). Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of industrial safety regulations and compliance.
