Position Title: Safety Officer Location: Kharkhoda, Haryana (Project Deployment Site) Employment Type: Full-Time | Northstar Payroll Department: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Reporting To: EHS Manager Northstar Safety Systemz Pvt. Ltd. Role Overview: Northstar Safety Systemz Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Safety Officer to be deployed at an engineering/manufacturing project site in Kharkhoda, Haryana. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day safety operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and promoting best safety practices on-site. This is a replacement position and will be filled on an immediate basis. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all on-site safety-related activities, aligned with Northstar’s EHS policies and applicable legislation. Ensure consistent implementation of health and safety procedures, PPE usage, and hazard control measures. Conduct routine Toolbox Talks, site inspections, safety observations, induction trainings, and risk assessments. Identify unsafe practices or conditions and recommend actionable measures for mitigation and safety improvement. Collaborate with the on-site project team to embed a proactive safety culture across all operational levels. Maintain up-to-date documentation and reporting of EHS performance indicators and incident records. Investigate incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and support development of preventive and corrective actions. Coordinate internal EHS committee meetings, awareness programs, and periodic audits as per the safety calendar. Ensure compliance with national safety regulations, including Factories Act, State Factory Rules, and applicable EHS standards. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders involved in the project. Required Qualifications: Mandatory: Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (recognized by Govt.) Preferred: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification Experience Required: Experience Range: 3–5 years Preferred Background: Prior experience in the safety function of engineering, fabrication, or automobile projects/sites Desired Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations and legal requirements (Factories Act, State Rules, etc.) Excellent communication and team coordination skills Practical knowledge of risk assessment, safety inspections, emergency preparedness, and safety reporting Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools: MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint Outlook and OneDrive for documentation and communication Ability to work independently and manage safety performance under dynamic site conditions Compensation: 3 Lacs Per Annum
