Senior Quality Assurance Engineering Manager

Location: Bommasandra, Bangalore

Role Purpose

The Senior Engineer (Quality) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality processes, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The role involves leading inspection activities, coordinating audits, driving quality improvements, and maintaining effective communication with certification bodies, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quality matrices, documentation, and interact with certification/regulatory bodies (AS9100, CEMILAC, DGCA, DGAQA, Customers).
• Establish customer communication channels and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and monitor

  Product Quality Plans

  and

  Inspection Plans

  .
• Perform and oversee

  in-process

  and

  final inspections

  of products and assemblies prior to shipment.
• Review and analyze

  inspection/test reports

  for compliance.
• Perform and prepare documentation for

  First Article Inspection (FAI)

  as per

  AS9102

  .
• Plan, schedule, and monitor inspection activities.
• Apply inspection and test methods to ensure product/service conformance.
• Support and lead supplier/vendor audits and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare and control AS9100 documentation; assist Management Representative in Quality activities.
• Conduct internal audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-ups.
• Monitor process objectives and ensure quality KPIs are achieved.
• Support

  Management Review Meetings (MRM)

  including agenda preparation and minutes.
• Conduct/assist in training sessions and presentations on quality-related topics.
  

Skill Set

1. Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
2. Hands-on experience with

   AS9100 C/D

   standards and documentation.
3. Knowledge of

   DGCA/EASA Part 21/145

   regulations (advantage).
4. Knowledge and application of

   7 QC tools

   and problem-solving techniques.
5. Analytical and detail-oriented approach.
   

Pre-Requisites

• Minimum

  3 years of experience

  in a

  Team Lead role

  within Quality functions.
• Proven experience in setting up or improving Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience in

  FAI procedures & documentation

  (AS9102).
• Hands-on experience coordinating

  third-party audits

  .
• Experience in conducting

  vendor audits

  .
• Familiarity with

  process specification documents

  (MIL, DSTAN, SAE-AMS, ASTM, etc.).

Desired / Preferred Skills

• Trained in

  Internal Auditing ISO17025

  .
• Experience in coordinating external audits: customer (Indian/International OEMs) and regulatory (DGAQA, DGCA, EASA, FAA).
• Experience in supplier audits (special processes, welding, NDT).
• Certified

  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB)

  .
• Knowledge of inspection techniques & methods (instruments, gauges, CMM, etc.).
