Senior Purchaser

As a Senior Purchaser at Fugro India, you will play a crucial role in procuring goods and services by collaborating with various departments to ensure timely delivery and secure funds for equipment and spares. Your coordination with the Operations team will be essential to complete the Avalon process, maintaining compliance with the Purchase process and policy. Your responsibilities will include: - Maintaining records of goods ordered and received. - Locating vendors and interviewing them to determine product availability and terms of sales. - Representing the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers. - Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders. - Controlling purchasing department budgets. - Reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. - Analyzing market and delivery systems to assess material availability. - Developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures. - Participating in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials. - Resolving vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. - Reviewing, evaluating, and approving specifications for issuing and awarding bids. - Directing and coordinating activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies. - Preparing reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs. - Administering online purchasing systems. - Arranging for disposal of surplus materials.
