Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets. Forecast procurement needs based on project schedules. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships. Ensure suppliers comply with company quality standards and timelines. Cost Control: Negotiate best prices without compromising quality. Conduct cost analysis and market research to ensure price competitiveness. Monitor budgets and reduce procurement costs through strategic sourcing. Process & Compliance: Ensure procurement practices comply with internal policies and legal standards. Maintain proper documentation of procurement activities. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement. Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with stores and warehouse teams to manage inventory effectively. Prevent material shortage or overstocking at construction sites. Team Management: Lead and mentor the procurement team. Assign responsibilities and evaluate team performance. Collaboration: Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, finance, and legal teams. Support in contract finalization with vendors and subcontractors.
