Senior Product Engineer

Role & responsibilities

As a Senior Product Engineer, the role is to lead New Product Design, Value Engineering and Quality & Reliability. The role will be accountable for Quality of Outcomes, Execution schedule, and Cost management Q/D/Cs with competent project management skills and hands on exposure to Thermal, HVAC domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution: Able to coordinate and consolidate deliverables across multiple projects to deliver NPD, Quality, and Value Engineering projects per mutually agreed project plan to meet Q / D / C milestones.
• Product Development: Lead and Execute product development activities and collaborate with peer teams for Concept generation, Design & Development, Planning, Prototype Build, Testing and Manufacturing support.
• Phase gate Product Development Process: Able to lead and execute Design reviews for multiple product lines, Design verification testing, Pre- and Post-Production activities with the team. Identify opportunities for improvements & able to convert failures as lessons learned.
• Critical Thinking: Able to breakdown and solve complex technical problems in a structured thinking approach Good understanding and exposure to engineering problem-solving tools. Able to lead – Root cause analysis, Product Teardowns, and Idea generation sessions • Decision Making: Demonstrate a strong data-driven approach for driving key engineering decisions.
• Cross functional Collaboration: Able to work with cross functional teams and guide team to develop detailed Part and assembly models in CAD environment and able to interpret and drive requirements for concept to manufacturing. Able to lead activities with functional support from Manufacturing, testing and quality teams.

Preferred candidate profile

BE degree/ Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering

• 7 - 10 Years of Industry Experience

• Work experience from OEM manufacturing or Product companies from Thermal / HVAC Domain (Essential Qualification)

• Hands-on experience with 3D modelling CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo – Sheetmetal, Solid modelling, Drawings etc.)
