Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing Suppliers:

    Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors, assessing their capabilities, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Bids:

    Prepare and distribute RFPs and bid invitations, review responses, and negotiate contracts with selected suppliers.
  • Cost Analysis:

    Conduct cost analysis and price negotiations to obtain the best possible deals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and resolving any supplier-related issues.
  • Inventory Management:

    Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, optimizing the procurement process.
  • Compliance:

    Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Budget Management:

    Collaborate with finance teams to create and manage procurement budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Quality Control:

    Ensure that procured goods and services meet quality and performance standards.
  • Documentation:

    Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and reports.
  • Market Research:

    Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (may vary by organization).
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of procurement software / MS office / Advanced Excel.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
