Competency Requirements
Functional & Operational Competency
Level of Proficiency Required: Basic/Advanced (Define below)
- Basic Tasks:
- Solid understanding of Material Master processes, P2P
- Hands-on experience with SAP handling Materials (all types), Bill of materials , Info-records & Source lists
- Proficiency in MS SharePoint, MS Power Platform, Excel, and MS Office tools.
- Ability to support multiple regions and act as backup for additional regions.
- Knowledge of tools like ServiceNow and MDG.
- Advanced Tasks:
- Track and manage issues and concerns.
- Understand and manage work towards satisfying SLAs.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Participate in operational process improvement projects
Roles and Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Material Master Management (Creation /Deletion), including Data Quality.
- Manage the day-to-day Direct procurement operations, including the complete purchase order process for raw materials, ensuring timely and accurate procurement.
- Handle supplier relationships and performance, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Ensure on-time delivery, quality of goods, and follow-up service.
- Contract creations and maintenance.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details and delivery schedules.
- Providing quarterly, monthly, and weekly forecasts for suppliers to plan production.
- Complaints Handling [mostly related to Quality, quantity, or delivery of raw materials] and Query management.
Cross functional engagement, and Ad hoc assignments:
- Support/Consult with Category Managers on projects and responsibility for own scale projects in accordance with aligned scope.
- Offer insights and recommendations on supplier selection, contract management, and risk mitigation.
- Supplier Performance Management involvement / evaluations
- Support procurement during audits and resolving non-conformities.
- Support/Lead negotiations/contracting according to the agreed scope, when relevant.
- Purchasing Support, when needed.
Qualification and Work experience
Qualification, Specialization and Domain
Essential
- Bachelor s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP ECC, S4 Hana), MS Office Suite, MS SharePoint, ServiceNow, MDG, and MS Power Platform
- Detailed understanding of raw materials and packaging materials is essential.
- Proficiency in SAP ECC and SAP MM is a prerequisite. Working knowledge of S4Hana is preferable.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end P2P process.
- Supplier Performance and relationship management skills
Work experience
A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in purchasing Direct materials /Service function/P2P Function, with 1 years in senior role. Experience in a global procurement environment is highly desirable.
Interpersonal skills (Soft skills)
- Knowledge of Sourcing and Quality systems
- Basic understanding of and accounting and finance processes
- Proficient in written and verbal communication
- Proficient in Analytical skills
