Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors called delivery partners to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. The Role We are looking for a dynamic leader to own products that make Amazon Flex the most trusted platform for customers and delivery partners world-wide. This is a highly strategic role, where you will get to both build features from the ground up, as well as augment existing features to improve transparency and increase fairness across the delivery lifecycle. As the leader for this domain, you will set long-term strategy and vision, collaborate with multiple cross functional stakeholders, develop scalable mechanism to expand our products world-wide and deliver products and solutions that delight our Delivery Partners and Delivery Associates. The right candidate will possess a well-rounded product background and a track record on defining and launching large products / programs. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. You will be able to support your team in anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating and making tradeoffs, and balancing the business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role. Specifically, the PM-T will: 1. Define a multi-year product vision and strategy to meet the needs of various businesses we support. 2. Develop and manage high quality product roadmaps to realize the product vision. 3. Manage prioritization and trade-off between regulatory constraints, time to market, cost, scale, and driver experience. 4. Create program goals and related metrics, track progress and own business reviews with business leadership and key stakeholders. 5. Evangelize product vision among multiple Amazon teams and influence them to deliver on specific capabilities needed to accomplish team s goals. 6. Work closely with engineering, science and other stakeholders to build and innovate in this space. Bachelors degree 3+ years of technical product or program management experience Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making for more information.
