Role overview

We’re looking for a reliable PHP Developer to join our backend team. You’ll own features from design to deployment, optimize performance, and ensure code quality across services.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel / Symfony or similar).
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
Work closely with frontend engineers, QA, and product to deliver robust features.
Write automated tests (unit/integration) and participate in code reviews.
Monitor and optimize application performance and database queries.
Assist with deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.

Must-have skills

2+ years professional experience in PHP development.
Solid experience with a modern PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.).
Strong SQL skills (MySQL/Postgres) and schema design.
Experience with RESTful API design and authentication (OAuth/JWT).
Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
Understanding of caching (Redis/Memcached), queues, and background jobs.
Good debugging skills and attention to code quality and tests.

Nice-to-have

Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
Exposure to real-time systems (WebSockets) or knowledge of WebRTC/Socket.io integrations.
Frontend familiarity (Vue/React) for full-stack collaboration.
